Is The Onion Personals really free?
The Onion Personals offers a variety of membership packages. Standard membership is free. As a Standard member, browse through our worldwide database of profiles. There's plenty to do as a standard member! If you decide you want to speed up your search, consider one of our Gold / Silver memberships. Gold / Silver memberships offer far more privileges and cost as little as 25 cents (or less!) per day.

What is the difference between entering as a guest and entering as a member?
The Onion Personals works on a membership system so that we are able to keep data files that contain your profile information and other information such as your "Hotlist", etc. Guests may enter the site and browse the listings, but in order to post a listing and use the many features available on the site, you must become a member.
